Princess Cruises, part of Miami-based Carnival Corp., will be headquartering its cruise ship Sapphire Princess in Shanghai, China in May 2014 and will take advantage of the opportunity at the same time to introduce the most recent addition to its line of cruise ships, called the Princess Class. A spokesperson from the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administrative Commission welcomed the expansion of Princess Cruises – which has offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu – in China.

Earlier this year, the cruise ship company announced that it would be sailing two ships from Japan between April and October 2014.

The 2,670-passenger Princess Class will take trips that last three to seven days. Stops in South Korea would be included in all four itineraries.

Despite the many amenities that cruise ships offer, the sad reality is that passengers are all too often injured due to the negligence of others on cruise trips. If you or a loved one was harmed due to a cruise staff’s negligence or poor manufacturing of a cruise ship, call the lawyers from the Louis A.
